DescriptionA story of maternal and child health care services in Madhubani district in Bihar.
AbstractThe case study highlights the challenges vis. a. vis. availability, accessibility and delivering health care services in the rural villages of Bihar. Besides, it shows the role of ASHA workers and their miserable state, despite being the first point of contact and a prime link between the rural community and the public health system. It also shows pretty corruption at the lowest segment of health chain crumbling the already fragile health services system in rural areas.
