AbstractThe case study of powerloom workers are stories of somatization, grief and suffering. It highlights deplorable and abusive living and working conditions of migrant workers leading to high morbidity and mortality. The case study shows how social and occupational context determines how biological body would behave. It also highlights the myths of migration in search of decent livelihood.
